and Administers of UT Administration to constitute State commission for Protection
of Child Rights on March 26th 08– Responses received from Sikkim, Goa, Delhi and

On 25th March, 2008 letter regarding the action taken
on the October 2006. Notification of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government
of India, prohibiting children from work in hotels, dhabas, eateries and as domestic
child labour was issued to all the Chief Secretaries of all the States/ UT Administration
– Response was received through action taken reports from West Bengal, Tripura,
Andaman & Nicobar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Kerala and the Ministry of
Labour and Employment, Government of India.
